Mrs. Mattie Sanders, a retired middle school guidance counselor has been collecting dolls for over twenty-five years. Initially starting as a hobby, Mrs. Sanders' collection quickly grew from several dolls to several hundred dolls. For many years she has visited schools, churches, and other community organizations where she uses the dolls to teach self esteem.The expo was held on Thursday, April 9, 2009, and Friday, April 10, 2009, at Berkeley Middle School’s cafeteria located at 320 North Live Oak Drive in Moncks Corner, South Carolina 29461. The expo started at 9:00 am and ended at 5:00 pm each day.
